Burglary, break-in attempt prompt alert from North Adams Police
NORTH ADAMS — Police are urging residents to keep doors and windows locked, porch lights on and maintain an awareness of their surroundings following a burglary on Church Street.
An occupant of 225 Church St. arrived home on Sunday evening to find a television and a computer taken from the home. The person told police that home had been broken into, police said. Officers are investigating the incident.
Also on Sunday evening, a resident of 38 Church St. reported to police that someone attempted to enter the home through a kitchen window about 11:45 p.m.
Police said it is possible that the two incidents are connected.
"People should be doing the things that we always tell them to do," said Lt. William Baker.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact city police at 413-664-4945.
