Conference on opiod addiction in the workplace for employers

The Massachusetts Health Council is holding a half-day conference for employers and those who work with them on the opiod epidemic on Thursday, June 16.

"Our Workplaces and the Opiod Epidemic: What We Need to Know, What We Can Do" will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Westin Waltham in Waltham.

Kathryn Power, regional administrator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is the keynote speaker.

Canadian Tour Group Market update on Wednesday

The Berkshire Visitors Bureau and the Greater Springfield CVB will provide an update on the Canadian Group Tour Market and how to attract these travelers to the area on Wednesday, June 16.

The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chandlers Restaurant, Yankee Candle Flagship in South Deerfield. Admission is free.

Chamber Nite event at Black Swan Inn on June 15

The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Chamber Nite event on Tuesday, June 15 at the Black Swan Inn on Route 20.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Admission to Chamber Nite events is free to all members and their employees. The Black Swan Inn is located on Laurel Lake.
