Personnel Department holding open house, career fair

The city of Pittsfield's Personnel Department will host and open house and career fair on Thursday, June 23 at council chambers in City Hall. The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will provide information on current and future positions within the city, recruitment procedures for police officers and firefighters, insight on licenses required for specific roles, and way to obtain certification.

It will also feature Berkshire Community College, the BerkshireWorks Career Center, and career counselors from Project ReConnect providing on-the-spot resume and cover letter assessments.

Greylock donates $126,000 to Berkshire United Way

The Greylock Federal Credit Union raised a total of $126,509 in its annual Berkshire United Way Campaign.

Employees donated $87,404 through payroll deductions and raised an additional $81,105 through special fund raisers. A total of 257 Greylock employees (93 percent) donated to the 2015 campaign drive.


Berkshire South receives award from Lee Bank

The Berkshire South Community Center has received a $2,000 award from Lee Bank in support of its summer Action Adventures Day Camp field trips. Info: 413-528-2810.
