BAPLS holding year-end meeting Wednesday
The Berkshire Association for Paralegals and Legal Secretaries will hold its year-end meeting on Wednesday, May 11 at the Rainbow Restaurant. The meeting begins promptly at 5:30 p.m.
Elections for 2016-17 officers and the board of directors will take place along with the scholarship presentation. Voting members are encouraged to attend.
The cost is $25 for members; $30 for non-members.

Three honored at Berkshire Pitch Competition
Lisa Dachinger of Pittsfield, Claire Richards of Great Barrington and Amelia Wistuk and her student team from Southern Vermont College received first, second and third place honors, respectively, at 1Berkshires' third and final Pitch Competition.
Dachinger was awarded the $1,000 first prize. She owns Hill Spring Dairy which produces cultured goat milk that is a drinkable yogurt with added probiotics.
Richards received the $300 second price. Her business, Jameela Imports, offers a premium olive oil that is produced and imported from Jordan. Wistuk and her team received the $100 third prize.
BFAIR to host monthly Chamber Nite event May 18
Berkshire Family & Individual Resources Inc. will host the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce's monthly Chamber Nite event on Wednesday, May 18.
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at BFAIR's satellite campus on 26 Roberts Drive in North Adams. Information/registration: www.1berkshire.com.
