BerkShares offering business-planning course in January
For the second straight year, BerkShares Inc. is offering a business-planning course for young people ages 14-to-25.
"Entry to Entrepreneurship" will take place once a week at Berkshire Community College's South County Center beginning on Jan. 26.
The program will culminate with a public event on April 12. Participants will present their business plans and receive an award of 200 BerkShares each.
Registration is open. Space is limited. Registration forms are available at http://berkshares.org/content/entry-entrepreneurship. A deposit of $25 or 25 BerkShares is required.

CSL preparation course starts in January in Springfield
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts is sponsoring a six session course to help individuals prepare for the Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's Licensing Exam.
The course begins on Jan. 20 and will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on six Wednesdays at the Home Builders & Remodelers Association's headquarters at 240 Cadwell Drive in Springfield.
The fee is $250 for Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts members, and $350 for non-members. Enrollment is limited.

Sweet Brook Farm expands, relocates its yarn shop
Sweet Brook Farm has relocated its yarn shop to 130 Water St. in the downstairs retail space at The Mountain Goat Artisan Gallery. The Spin-Off Yarn Shop has expanded from primarily alpaca and to a larger variety of yarns. Info: Beth Phelps, 884-4246.
