Berkshire Bank donates to 22 nonprofits on Xtraordinary Day
Through its "Catch Us in the Act" contest, Berkshire Bank donated $2,100 to 22 nonprofits across the seven regions of its coverage area on Xtraordinary Day June 7.
The public was encouraged to take photos of Berkshire Bank employees performing volunteer services at designated volunteer project locations.
Individuals were then able to complete an official entry form on Facebook or share the photo via Instagram or Twitter using #XTEAM as the caption.
Three winners were chosen in each of the seven regions that Berkshire Bank services
SVHC holding regional health care conference in September
Southwestern Vermont Health Care, with support from the Vermont Health Care Innovation Project, will hold a regional health care conference Sept. 19-20.
"Leading Health Care Reform by Building Accountable Communities" includes a networking reception on Sept. 19, and a full program featuring regional health care experts on Sept. 20. The program will take place at the Grant Summit Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Mount Snow, Vt.
Early bird registration is $175 and ends on Aug. 15. Registration information: svhealthcare.org/events/.
Freelancers Association to discuss LinkedIn Aug. 11
The Upper Hudson Chapter of the Editorial Freelancers Association will meet on Thursday, Aug. 11 at Chatham Town Hall, 488 State Road 295.
"Marketing Yourself with LinkedIn" will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Networking begins at 4. There is no charge for EFA members to attend chapter meetings. The suggested donation from non-members is $10. Info: www.the-efa.org.
