Berkshire Bank Foundation awards $1.1 million in funding

Berkshire Bank's charitable foundation awarded $1.12 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont between Jan. 1 and June 30.

A total of 365 nonprofit organizations received funding. In Berkshire County, they include 1Berkshire Strategic Alliance, Berkshire Community Action Council, Berkshire Family YMCA, and Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity.

Chamber Nite at Habitat for Humanity-ReStore

1Berkshire will hold its monthly Chamber Nite event on Wednesday at Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, 399 Hubbard Avenue. The hours are 5 to 7 p.m.

CSL License preparation course in Springfield

The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts is sponsoring a six session course to help individuals prepare for the Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's Licensing Exam. The course starts on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on six Wednesdays at the Home Builders & Remodelers Association Headquarters, 240 Cadwell Drive in Springfield.

BYP Night at Jacob's Pillow

The Berkshire Young Professionals will hold BYP Night at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival on Saturday. The hours are 6:15 to 7 p.m., followed by a specially-priced show for BYP members at 8 p.m. The event is free for BYP members, $5 cash at the door. Info: 413 499-1600.
