Berkshire Bank Foundation helping area nonprofits
The Berkshire Bank Foundation has awarded $293,904 in grants and pledges to 51 nonprofit organizations in Berkshire County during its first quarter grants cycle.
Those organizations include, Berkshire Theatre Group; Berkshire United Way; Hancock Shaker Village; Community Access to the Arts; and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
Also receiving funding were Barrington Stage Company; Mass MoCA; Mahawie Performing Arts Center; Stockbridge Bowl Association; and Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires.
Berkshire Natural Resources Council launching new website
The Berkshire Natural Resources Council, the county's leading charitable land conservation organization, will unveil a new website, logo and tagline on Wednesday, May 25 to help clarify its mission and public benefit in the Berkshires.
The website at www.bnrc.org will include features like "Top 10 Trail" recommendations, and a new tagline and look for the organization: "The Landkeepers."
The new website will be followed by redesigned road maps, kiosks and other improvements intended to make clear that council lands are open to the public.
Attaya to speak at Porchlight VNA annual meeting
Chris Attaya, the vice president of business intelligence for Strategic Healthcare Program of Santa Barbara, Calif., will be the keynote speaker when Porchlight VNA/Homecare holds its annual meeting on Thursday, June 2 at the Country Club of Pittsfield.
