Berkshire Bank receives eight financial marketing awards

Berkshire Bank recently received eight financial marketing awards from the Financial Marketing Association, the oldest and most esteemed financial marketing awards in New England.

Berkshire received six gold medals as community champion for overall philanthropic work; for civic involvement; the deposit award for its Bank@Work products; the loan award for the Credit Cards For Whatever You Need campaign; and the public relations award for the release of The Sum quarterly newsletter.

The other gold medal was in internal marketing for Berkshire's internal employee communications, which include newsletter, email blasts and volunteer website.

The bank also received bronze medals in brand award for the unveiling of its X Identifier, and its work with Firestone Financial.

Nominations for Berkshire Trendsetter awards ending

Nominations for the 2016 Berkshire Trendsetter Awards will end on Friday.

This year's awards will be awarded at the Celebrate the Berkshires event on Thursday, Sept. 15 at Tanglewood.

Entries are being accepted in seven categories: comprehensive marketing campaign; creative economy standout and entrepreneur/visionary of the year.

The other categories include: growing/advancing the Berkshire economy; newcomer of the year; nonprofit impact; and under 40 change-maker.
