Berkshire County Arc receives Pathways to Justice grant

Berkshire County Arc is one of six entities nationwide that have been chosen to receive a $2,000 Pathways to Justice Grant from its national organization, The Arc of the U.S.

Created by The Arc's National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability, Pathways to Justice is a first-of-its-kind training initiative.

The grant's goal is to form strong and lasting partnerships between criminal justice and disability professionals that address service gaps encountered by people with disabilities and their families within the criminal justice arena.

Greylock Credit Union donates to Hillcrest Foundation

The Greylock Federal Credit Union has donated $12,500 to Hillcrest Educational Foundation in support of the organization's annual Robert "Bees" Prendergast Reception and Hillcrest Dental Care's program to provide dental education in local schools.

Hillcrest's 2016 annual St. Patrick's Reception was held at the Country Club of Pittsfield on March 18. Greylock was the event's lead sponsor.

Throughout February and March, Hillcrest Dental Care gave presentations at eight local schools and day care centers.


Elder Services of Berkshire County offering subgrants

Elder Services of Berkshire County has opened a Request For Proposals (RFP) process for subgrants under Title III of the Older Americans Act.

These funds enable organizations, businesses, and coalitions to develop programs that offer specialized services to the elder community.

The application process begins with a letter of intent that is due by Friday, May 27. The entire RFP is on the agency's website at
