BerkshireWorks holding information sessions

To assist the number of local workers impacted by the recent closings of several area businesses, the BerkshireWorks Career Center will be holding information sessions on the career center's services on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Monday, Feb. 29.

The Feb. 24 session will take place at 2 p.m., and the Feb. 29 session at 10 a.m. They will both be held at BerkshireWorks facility at 160 North St. in Pittsfield.

IEEE Berkshire Section dinner meeting at Cork N'Hearth

The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers will hold a dinner meeting on Thursday, Feb. 25 at the Cork N'Hearth Restaurant on Route 20.

John J. Burke, an associate professor of electrical engineering at Western New England College, will present PE Licensure for Engineers.

Cocktails take place at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. The presentation takes place after dinner. The reservation deadline is Monday, Feb. 22.

The cost for IEEE members and one gust is $20; the cost for non-members is $45 per person. Those who do not eat dinner will be admitted free.

1Berkshire will hold an entrepreneurial meetup on Thursday, Feb. 25 at Starving Artist Creperie and Cafe, 40 Main St. The hours are 8 to 9:30 a.m.
