BHS nurses to participate in ceremony at Elms College

A cohort of nurses sponsored by Berkshire Health Systems who attend The College of Our Lady of The Elms School of Nursing in Chicopee will attend a white-coat ceremony on Wednesday Dec. 16.

The ceremony will honor the college's inaugural class of Doctor of Nursing students as they move from the classroom into clinical training. Clinical training begins in January.

The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. in Veritas Auditorium in Berchmans Hall.

Hall named to board of the Mountain Road School

Jake Hall has been named to the board of directors of the Mountain Road School.

A resident of Niverville, N.Y., Hall is VP/GM for Epsilon, a Fortune 500 company with offices in East Greenbush. N.Y. His two sons have attended Mountain Road for the last three years.

Berkshire Bank top SBA lender in Western Massachusetts

Berkshire Bank has been named lender of the year for fiscal 2015 in Western Massachusetts by the Massachusetts District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Berkshire's standing is based on dollars and volume, according to the SBA.

BYP networking social & Chamber Nite on Dec. 16

The Berkshire Young Professionals will hold a networking social in conjunction with the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce's monthly Chamber Nite event on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Berkshire West Athletic Club. The hours are 5 to 7 p.m.
