Billow receives "Volunteer of the Year" Award from CUNA

Joanne Billow, the marketing services manager for the Greylock Federal Credit Union and Greylock Marketing Group, has been recognized as a "Volunteer of the Year" by the Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development Council.

The Volunteer of the Year is selected by CUNA's leadership. It honors an individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union marketing. Billow received the award on March 24 at the Council's annual meeting in Anaheim, Calif.

Billow has served on the Diamond Award judging team since 2012 and joined the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council in 2008.


Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub to close, re-open next week

The Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub on 699 Merrill Road will be closed for renovations Monday through Wednesday, then hold a grand re-opening celebration on Thursday.

A revitalization of the restaurant's decor and amenities is scheduled to take place.

The grand re-opening, which includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, will take place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, one hour after the restaurant re-opens. Pittsfield Fire Chief Robert Czerwinski is scheduled to attend.

All funds raises from the recently held Silent Auction will be donated to the Pittsfield Firemen's Association.


BYP workshop on stress management techniques

The Berkshire Young Professionals will hold a workshop on stress and anxiety management techniques on Thursday, April 14.

The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boundless, 5 Albany Rd.
