Clancy named president and CEO of Country Curtains

Celia Clancy has been appointed president and CEO of Country Curtains, effective immediately.

She had joined Country Curtain's board of directors, finance committee and compensation committee in 2015.

A seasoned senior executive with leadership experience in fashion retail, merchant management and commerce, Clancy most recently served as CEO of Joyce Leslie, Inc. She founded and served as CEO of MCC Retail Consultants in 2014, and served as CEO and president at Ashley Stewart Inc. from 2011-13. Clancy has also served in several positions at Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Clancy attended Boston College School of Management, and earned a bachelor's degree from Wellesley College in 1978.

Berkshire United Way seeking investment proposals

Berkshire United Way is seeking proposals for community investment from prospective partners addressing the goal to reduce the percentage of Berkshire County families that are low income (200 percent of poverty) from 24 percent to 20 percent by 2020.

This Request-for-Proposal (RFP) addresses the funding period from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018. It is now available online at www.berkshireunitedway.org.
