Climate & Sustainability Fair at Shire City Sanctuary

"Living The Change Climate & Sustainability Fair" will take place on Saturday, May 7 at Shire City Sanctuary, 40 Melville St.

The hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featured speaker Laurie Lane-Zucker of Sheffield, the founder of Impact Entrepreneur, will speak at noon. Admission is free. Donations toward costs are appreciated.

Other events include a teach-in on electric bills and solar energy; a panel discussion on climate action in the Berkshires; a seminar on how businesses can grow from community efforts; a movie; a dance party; and children's youth and family activities.

MountainOne, Berkshire Bank donate to Hillcrest

MountainOne Bank has donated $15,000 to support the treatment of students who attend Hillcrest Residential Centers' residential day, and autism programs.

Hillcrest was recently awarded $7,500 from the Berkshire Bank Foundation to support its educational initiatives and address the needs of low-income children in its care.

The organization also raised about $60,000 from its annual Robert "Bees" Prendergast St. Patrick's Gala which took place March 18 at the Country Club of Pittsfield.


Keane earns Massachusetts real estate broker's license

Billy Keane, a Realtor Associate with Jan Perry Realty & Associates LLC, has earned his Massachusetts Real Estate Broker License.

Although this licensure would allow the licensee to open and operate his own real estate brokerage, Keane will continue as a member of the Jan Perry team.

Keane has also earned his Accredited Buyer's Representative designation, and course work on investment properties.
