Dalton Lions schedule meetings, fundraising events

The Dalton Lions will be meeting the first and third Mondays of every month at the Dalton Restaurant. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and last about 90 minutes with dinner optional from the restaurant menu.

New members are needed to carry on the Dalton Lions' sight and hearing programs. Members do not have to attend every meeting, but are expected to attend as many as possible. They will also be asked to help with fundraising events.

The Dalton Lions have scheduled two fundraisers for 2017: A 20/25 raffle, poker game at the Dalton Carnival June 7-11; and a golf fund raiser at Bas Ridge in Hinsdale in August. All you can eat breakfasts will also take place at date to be announced.

Davis named manager of Pittsfield Co-op branch

Emily Davis has been named branch manager of the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank's Great Barrington branch, which is located at 325 Main St.

She will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations at the South County site, including the management of all functions, banking activity and services provided at that locations.

Davis most recently served as the branch manager for Berkshire Bank's Sheffield branch. She is a resident of Ashley Falls.

Doctor with Berkshire County ties joins SWMC in Vermont

Hospitalist Patti L. Miller has joined the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Medical Group at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Certified in internal medicine, Miller had previously worked at Berkshire Medical Center and North Adams Regional Hospital beginning in 2005. She also worked in Missouri.
