Director promoted at Berkshire County Arc

Amy Robandt has been promoted to director of family support and advocacy at Berkshire County Arc and has joined the agency's senior management team.

In her new role, Robandt will oversee the agency's advocacy and support services, which include Berkshire County Arc's Adult Family Care program, the Central and Southern Berkshire County Family Support Center, individualized support services and agency intakes and referrals.

Robant has been with Berkshire County Arc for seven years. She previously served as the agency's director of family services.


BBPW to induct new board members

Berkshire Business and Professional Women will induct the members of its 2016-2017 Board of Directors at a dinner meeting on Monday, June 6 at Mazzeo's Ristorante, 1015 South St.

Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6. The registration and cancellation deadline is Wednesday. June 1.



State introduces online data breach notification

The state Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation has introduced an electronic data breach submission portal aimed at simplifying the notification requirement for individuals and businesses by providing a standard form to collect specific information required by law relative to a data breach,

The Massachusetts Data Security Law requires any entity that keeps a consumer's personal information to notify affected Massachusetts residents, the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and the Attorney General's office anytime personal information is accidentally or intentionally compromised.
