Emergency response training for equestrian related injuries

Blue Rider Stables will host an emergency response training for equestrian related injuries from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

The session will take place at Blue Rider Stables' riding facility at 15 Farm Lane in South Egremont. The workshop will be led by Shawn Godfroy of SJG Emergency Response Training and Consulting LLC of Pittsfield.

The cost is $20, which is payable the day of the class. RSVP to Blue Rider Stables at 413-528-5299 by Thursday, June 9.

New fine art gallery opens

Greylock Gallery, specializing in traditional and contemporary art from both emerging and established national artists, has opened at 71 Spring St.

A reception to celebrate the opening will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at the gallery on Saturday.

The gallery represents work from 14 artists. Berkshire native Rachele Dario, formerly of Harrison Gallery, is Greylock Gallery's director and owner.

Nominations open for MassEcon awards

Nominations are now open for MassEcon's 13th annual Team Massachusetts Economic Investment Awards.

Companies are selected based on job growth, investment, facility expansion and community involvement. The nomination deadline is Friday.

To be eligible, companies must have a physical presence and growth in Massachusetts; and created jobs or increased square footage and financial investment since Jan. 1, 2016.

They must also be for-profit entities.
