Habitat for Humanity ReStore to celebrate first anniversary

The Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity ReStore will celebrate its one year anniversary on Saturday at the store at 399 Hubbard Ave.

Every shopper that visits the ReStore between now and Saturday receives a free chance to win two tickets to the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Aug. 31.

On Saturday, ReStore shoppers will receive five percent off their purchases. The Red Sox raffle drawing takes place at 2 p.m. Winners do not have to be present.

Berkshire Bank named top 10 bank in Massachusetts

Berkshire Bank has been recognized as one of the top 10 best banks in Massachusetts by AdvisoryHQ News, an online news outlet that provides research, reviews and ranking of firms and products across the U.S., United Kingdom and Canada.

The top 10 banks were chosen by considering a number of factors including advantages, benefits, and value-creating services provided by these financial institutions that benefit the customers they serve.

Qualities specific to Berkshire Bank are the products and services the bank offers, and the opinion that the bank is most respected in western Massachusetts.

Simon Foundation awards youths college scholarships

Erica Perrea of Hinsdale and Emma Lezberg of Pittsfield are among the 26 high school seniors who have received scholarships totaling more than $80,000 from Simon Malls and Simon Premium Outlets in New England, which own the Lee Premium Outlets.

Perrea will attend Siena College while Lezberg will attend Williams College in the fall.

The Simon Youth Foundation is a national nonprofit organization that provides scholarship opportunities for college-bound students. Simon has centers in New England.
