Harrington named partner at South County law firm
The law firm of Hellman, Shearn & Arienti has expanded its practice into the area of family law, divorce and criminal defense with the addition of attorney Andrea Harrington.
She joins partners Kenneth M. Shearn, C. Nicholas Arienti and Catherine S. Chester.
A Berkshire native who graduated from American University's Washington College of Law, Harrington returned to the area in 2007 after practicing as a commercial litigator in Miami. She also represented Florida death row inmates in post-conviction appeals in state and federal courts. In 2010, Harrington was awarded a scholarship to the National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute, a prestigious national training program for defense lawyers.
A Richmond resident, Harrington serves on Richmond's Affordable Housing Committee, and on the advisory board of Berkshares Inc.
Fairview receives national recognition for care
Fairview Hospital is been named to The Leapfrog Group's annual list of top hospitals for the fourth straight year. The award recognition showcase Fairview's commitment to Leapfrog's vision of providing the safest, highest quality health care for both consumers and purchasers.
Fairview was one of 98 top hospitals recognized and selected from hospitals participating in The Leapfrog Group's annual survey.
The Top Hospital Award is given to urban, rural and children's hospitals that publish their performance through the annual Leapfrog Hospital Survey and meet the high standards defined in each year's Top Hospitals Methodology.
Berkshire Art Association at Berkshire Museum
The Berkshire Art Association will hold its 10x10 RAP (Real Art Party) at the Berkshire Museum on Thursday, Feb. 18.
Artists from the Berkshires and beyond will contribute 10x10 inch originals works of art to be given away for $25 each. A $25 ARTtix guarantees the buyer to a work of art. ARTtix may be purchased on Feb. 12 at the Berkshire Museum'ss admissions desk.
