Huss to speak at Zonta Club meeting on March 14

Pittsfield Suns General Manager Kristen Huss will speak when the Zonta Club of Berkshire County meets on Monday, March 14 at Mazzeo's Ristorante.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. It will include a brief networking time, a business meeting, the speaker and dinner.

Zonta International is a worldwide service organization working to advance the status of women. Guests are welcome at all meetings, but reservations are required for dinner.

Community Enterprises receives accreditation

Community Enterprises, which has an office in Pittsfield, has received the maximum three-year CARF accreditation, emphasizing the organization's commitment to quality services for its clients.

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human service programs. CARF accreditation signals a service providers commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback and serving the community.

Northampton-based Community Enterprises Inc. is a human service organization that provides employment, education, housing supports and day supports for people with disabilities.


BTCF offering scholarship at Harvard Business School

The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation is offering one scholarship to "Governing for Excellence" a four-day world-class professional development program that focuses on nonprofit management at Harvard Business School.

The four-day course takes place in October. The application deadline is Aug. 8.

The scholarship is valued at $4,500.
