Krok named director of human resources at CHP

Community Health Program has named Kelly Krok as director of human resources for its countywide health care network.

She will oversee personnel matters for 150 employees working at CHP's physician practices in Great Barrington, Lee, Pittsfield, Adams and North Adams.

Krok most recently served as the manager of HR relations and global mobility at Sabic Innovative Plastics, and as Sabic's HR manager. She also worked for Sabic's predecessor company, GE Plastics, in a series of human resource positions beginning in 1981.

A Pittsfield native and resident, Krok holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and is a member of the Greylock Federal Credit Union's board of directors.

City native honored for appellate legal work

Pittsfield native Christopher J. Petrini, an attorney in Framingham, and a colleague were recently honored by the International Municipal Lawyers Association at IMLA's Mid-Year Seminar in Washington D.C.

Petrini and attorney Christopher L. Brown each received IMLA's Amicus Service Award for their pro bono authorship of an amicus brief on behalf of IMLA and several other parties in Lopez vs. City Lawrence et al. The appeal is currently pending before the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals.

Petrini, who attended Egremont Elementary School, and Brown are both members of the law firm Petrini & Associates of Framingham.
