Chamber of Commerce academic grant program

The Lee Chamber of Commerce will award each of three graduating high school seniors $1,000 academic grants to be applied to the cost of attending college.

These grants are awarded annually to student graduates who live in Lee and plan on attending a college or trade school. Students do not have to attend Lee High School to be eligible. Residents of Lee who attend other schools may also apply.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, April 25.

Tyer to speak at rental association meeting

Pittsfield Mayor Linda M. Tyer will speak when the Rental Housing Association of Berkshire County holds its monthly meeting at Zucchini's Restaurant in Pittsfield on Tuesday, March 15.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. An optional dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. for $22.

RHABC is an organization beneficial to all landlords whether they have a single rental or multiple properties.

Next round of MLSC internship challenge program launches

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center has launched the next round of its Internship Challenge program

This year-round workforce development program focuses on enhancing the talent pipeline for Massachusetts life sciences companies.

It provides students and recent college graduates with internship opportunities at life sciences companies. The MLSC is charged with developing the life sciences in Massachusetts
