Lenox students participate in accounting conference

Lenox Memorial High School students Patrick Colvin, Tyler Coon, Caitlin Doherty, John Fontaine and Brienna LaChance participated in the "Is Accounting for Me?" conference held recently by the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Colvin and Coon were members of the winning team in the accounting Jeopardy tournament.

The conference included interactive accounting exercises and workshops, discussions about accounting careers and CPA services, information about college programs and student life, and a networking lunch with college students, faculty and CPA practitioners.


Nejaime's holding wine seminar at Ventfort Hall

World-renowned French winemaker and owner Olivier Humbrecht will participate in Nejaime's Wine Cellars seminar on Wednesday, May 18 at Ventfort Hall Mansion & Gilded Age Museum. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

Humbrecht will personally guide the audience through three flights (nine wines) from his family's award-winning Domaine Zind-Humbrecht of Alsace, France. He is the world's second winemaker to attain Master of Wine status. Tickets are $40 per person and include the wines served with cheese and charcuterie. Tickets are $15 for optional tours of the mansion that begin at 4:30 p.m.

Bascom Lodge opening for season on Saturday

Bascom Lodge on Summit Road in Mount Greylock State Reservation will open for the season at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Lunch and dinner will be served on Saturday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Sunday. Information: Bascom Lodge, 917-680-0079.
