Local women join Wild Oats' management team

Sarah Thurston Housman and Shannon Toye have been appointed marketing manager and prepared foods manager, respectively, of Wild Oats Market, a cooperatively-owned natural foods grocery store.

A native of Williamstown, Housman has over 16 years of experience working in marketing and communications, most recent as an account executive for a marketing firm in Pittsfield. She previously served as communications manager at Village Ventures Inc., and as a senior publicist with Storey Publishing.

Toye, of North Adams, has been an avid gardener and wild forager for 20 years. She began her culinary career as a member of the kitchen staff at the former Main Street Cafe in Williamstown, then served 10 years as the manager of school and partnership programs and camp director at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
