McCormick, Mirante appointed to BCC Board of Trustees

Kathleen McCormick of Great Barrington and Peter Mirante of North Adams have been appointed to the Berkshire Community College Board of Trustees.

McCormick has been a partner in the Great Barrington law firm of McCormick, Murtagh & Marcus since 2009. She joined the firm in 2004. Her focus is on residential and commercial real estate, land use and permitting, construction law, business law, and estate planning. McCormick holds a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University and a bachelor's degree from Boston College.

Mirante has worked in the banking industry for more than 20 years and is currently senior vice president of branch administration at Greylock Federal Credit Union in Pittsfield. Prior to joining Greylock in 1998, he worked for Patten Corporation then Berkshire Bank. Mirante holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Adams State College.

Adams Community Bank hosting College Prep Night

Abby Conyers, an admission counselor at Williams College, will present an information session on the college search and application process on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The session will take place at 7 p.m. at the Williams Inn in Williamstown. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

State gas prices decline another three cents this week

AAA's survey of state gas prices on Monday founded self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $1.81 per gallon, three cents less than last week. This is the eighth consecutive week that state gas prices have fallen.
