Pittsfield Coop Bank names compliance officer
Ed Schumann has been named compliance officer at the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, president and CEO J. Jay Anderson has announced.
In this role, Schumann will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the bank abide by all application laws and regulations.
Schumann previously served as branch manager of the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank's branch in Great Barrington. A graduate of Queens College, Schumann lives in Lakeville, Conn.
IEEE dinner meeting to discuss net zero residence
The Berkshire Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers' Power Chapter will hold a dinner meeting on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Cork 'N Hearth Restaurant on Route 20.
Roger Manzolini will present net zero residence, a new threshold for residential building that involves the goal of low energy use.
Cocktails take place at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7, then the presentation.
The price for IEEE members and one guest is $20, $22 per person. The price for non members is $40, $44 per person. Those who do not eat dinner will be admitted free. The reservation deadline is Monday, Oct. 17.

WAM Theatre honored for philanthropic donations
WAM Theatre Inc. has been named 2016 Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals — Western MA Chapter.
Since its inception in 2010, WAM Theatre has produced eight professional mainstage productions resulting in $21,000 in donations to eight non-governmental organizations.
WAM and the other honorees will be honored at the 2016 AFP WMA National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon Nov. 16 at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.
