Single-family home sales rise 10 percent in December
Sales of single-family homes in Berkshire County increased 10.3 percent in December compared to the same month in 2014, according to the Warren Group of Boston, which tracks state real estate transactions.
Statewide, the sales of single-family homes jumped 16.6 percent last month, as 4,913 homes were sold, the highest monthly total since 2004.
Year-to-date sales in the Berkshires were up 8.7 percent between December and the same month in 2014. The median sales price dropped 14.5 percent, from $197,000 to $168,500, over that same time period.
Bellora joins Toole Insurance in agency's Lenox branch office
Jayne Bellora has joined Toole Insurance as the company's primary customer service agent at its Lenox office on 117 Main St.
Her responsibilities span new and renewal business marketing, client relationship management and identifying and meeting the insurance needs of clients.
Bellora previously evaluated advertising and marketing strategies for over 10 years for local businesses in the Berkshires at VOX and WBRK.
She lives in Lanesborough with her husband and three children and carries a Massachusetts Property and Casualty license.
Age Friendly Berkshires hires program manager
With support from the Tufts Health Plan Foundation, Celeste Roeller Harp has been hired as program manager for Age Friendly Berkshires.
Harp has a regional planning background as well as academic and professional experience, holds a bachelor's degree from MCLA and a master's degree in regional and urban planning from SUNY-Albany.
