Single-family home sales up, condominium sales down
Sales of single-family homes in the Berkshires increased 29 percent in March compared to the same month in 2015, according to the Warren Group of Boston, which tracks state real estate transactions.
Seventy four single-family homes were sold last month compared to 57 in March 2015. Year-to-date sales have increased 34 percent.
Sales of condominiums in the Berkshires, however, dropped in March as five were sold compared to 15 during the same month last year, a decrease of 67 percent. Year-to-date, sales of condominiums in the Berkshires are at the same level (18) as last year at this time.
Statewide, sales of single-family homes increased by 31.5 percent in March, while condo sales were up 26.3 percent.
Haddad receives Toyota President's Award
Haddad Toyota is one of 28 Boston-Region Toyota dealerships that have received the Toyota President's Award, the company's most prestigious dealer award.
In order to qualify as a President's Award winner, Toyota dealerships must excel in a number of different categories including sales and service customer satisfaction and vehicle delivery excellence and employee training and certification.
Haddad is the only Toyota dealership in Western Massachusetts to receive the President's Award.
DeLeo to speak at AIM's annual meeting in Boston
House speaker Robert A. DeLeo will deliver the keynote address when Associated Industries of Massachusetts holds its 101st annual meeting on Friday, May 13.
The meeting will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westin Boston Waterfront.
