Spring Tri-town Chambers of Commerce mixer May 18

The Tri-town Chambers of Commerce will hold their next spring mixer on Wednesday, May 18 at the Black Swan Inn in Lee. The hours are 5 to 7 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other business members of the Stockbridge, Lee and Lenox Chambers of Commerce. Lee Selectman Chairwoman Patricia Carlino will briefly discuss potential shared services for the three communities.

The event is open to chamber members. Those interested in attending should contact their chamber by Wednesday.

Tree service owner receives VISTA Award from state

Ron Yaple, the owner of Race Mountain Tree Services in Sheffield, was recently named the 2016 VISTA Award winner by the Massachusetts Arborists Association. He was honored for his lifetime achievement in the field of arboriculture.

Established in 2000, the VISTA Award is the highest honor the Massachusetts Arborists Association bestows on an individual. It recognizes outstanding tree care professionals whose actions serve as a guide and a challenge for all members of the industry.

State woodstove change-out program now in effect

The 2016 Commonwealth Woodstove Change-Out Program provides rebates for state residents who replace their old woodstoves. It offers rebates up to $1,500 to all state residents who replace their old woodstoves by Aug. 22. Info: Mass DEP.
