Staples joins BMC and Lenox Family Health Center

Dr. Amanda M. Staples has been appointed to the medical staff of Berkshire Medical Center and the physician staff of Lenox Family Health Center.

Staples received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Berkshire Medical Center.

While a resident at BMC, Staples served as medical chief resident and osteopathic chief resident, and she was honored with the 2014 Jordan B. Fieldman, MD Award for Medical Humanism.

Cranwell golf tourney benefits Berkshire Humane Society

The second annual Cranwell Spa and Golf Resort's Open "Fall Classic" Charity Golf Tournament raised $6,500 for the Berkshire Humane Society.

Cranwell also donated a portion of its room sales for tournament guests who stayed overnight.

All proceeds will be used for the SafePet program which provides foster care for the pets of owners who are in crisis situations.

BHS program honored for worksite health promotion

Berkshire Health Systems' WellnessWorks program has been named a WorkWell Massachusetts Award program gold level winner for its exemplary work in worksite health promotion.

WorkWell Massachusetts is a corporate award program created by the Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts, a not-for-profit member organization dedicated to the advancement of worksite wellness programs.

The BHS program was recognized at WWCMA's Fourth Annual Worksite Wellness Conference at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
