State gas prices match this year's previous low

State gasoline prices dropped one cent from last week to match their previous low for 2015, according to AAA Northeast.

AAA's survey of Massachusetts gas prices on Monday found self-serve regular unleaded averaging $2.06 cents per gallon, matching this year's previous low that occurred during the week of Feb. 2.

Prices locally for unleaded regular are eight cents less than a month ago, and 13 cents lower than the national average. A year ago at this time the average state price was 98 cents higher at $3.04.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $1.93 to a high of $2.39 per gallon.


Berkshire Bank receives seven financial marketing awards

Berkshire Bank and the Berkshire Bank Foundation have received seven awards from the Financial Marketing Association for their work in the community and on leading edge projects.

The two entities received the Community Champion Award for overall philanthropic work, and the Civic Involvement Award honoring their corporate volunteer efforts.

They were also received first place honors in the Brand Award and in the Service Award.

Finally, the bank and foundation were awarded second place in the Deposit Award, and the Public Relations Awards.

The awards were presented at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.


Berkshire Young Professionals holding networking social

The Berkshire Young Professionals will hold a networking social on Thursday, Nov. 12 at Scarafoni Associates, 37 Main St.
