Unico golf tournament raises $25,000 for charity
Unico of Pittsfield raised $25,500 for its charitable causes at the organization's 27th annual golf tournament that was held recently at Berkshire Hills Country Club.
A total of 190 golfers participated supported by over 100 businesses.
The local charities receiving funds included NAMI; The Brien Center; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; Friends of Cardio Pulmonary Department; Boys and Girls Club; Kids' Place; Jimmy Fund; 4th of July Parade; Relay for Life; UCP; Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 65; Women's Imaging Center; and Pittsfield food pantries.
Financial Advisors holding ribbon cutting, open house
October Mountain Financial Advisors will hold a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 at 103 Park St., which will be followed by an open house. The public is invited to attend the event.
State Rep. William "Smitty" Pignatelli, D-Lenox; Lee Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Colleen Henry and Michael Matty, president and director of St. Germain Investment Group will speak.
As part of the ribbon cutting ceremony, October Mountain's Managing Director Gary Schiff will present checks totaling $10,000 to benefit six nonprofit organizations.

Chamber Nite event to be held at Molari's new location
1Berkshire will holds its monthly Chamber Nite event on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Molari Employment and Healthcare Services new location at 166 East St.
The hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free for chamber members and all of their employees.
