Western Mass. film and media exchange in Springfield
The Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative is producing the third annual Western MA Film and Media Exchange on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
The one-day conference takes place at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel. It is dedicated to helping non-profits and small businesses become "video literate" as well as to demystify the video making process.
Michael Hoffman, CEO of See3 Communications in Chicago, will be the keynote speaker.

Ticket deadline for BBPW Women of Achievement dinner
Tickets for the Berkshire Business and Professional Women's 2016 Woman of Achievement awards dinner on Monday, Oct. 17 honoring Berkshire United Way CEO Kristine Hazzard must be purchased by Wednesday, Oct. 12, according to the BBPW.

Banks' shareholders approve merger
The shareholders of the holding companies of Westfield Bank and Chicopee Savings Bank recently approved a previously announced transaction that will allow Chicopee to merge into Westfield.
The closing of the transaction remains subject to receipt of approval from the Massachusetts Board of Bank Incorporation. Westfield Financial Inc. is the parent company of Westfield Bank. Chicopee Bancorp Inc. heads Chicopee Savings Bank.
