The Williamstown Chamber of Commerce will be holding a professional development workshop on Friday at Sweetwood of Williamstown. The hours are 2 to 4 p.m.

"The Press: Both Sides of the Wall" will look at techniques for building relationships with the press.

High schools receive grants from Financial Literacy Fund

Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown and Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton have received funding in the next round of Financial Education Innovation Fund grants, an initiative that provides capital to expand Credit for Lifefairs in high schools across the commonwealth.

These awards are funded by a grant from the state Division of Banks through settlements over alleged unlawful lending practices.

PITTSFIELD
SUNY reps to speak at BIC event at BCC on Feb. 24

The Berkshire Innovation Center will hold a speaking event featuring partner organization SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Berkshire Community College.

Networking takes place at 7:30 a.m. followed by the speaking program from 8-to-10 a.m. at BCC's Susan B. Anthony Center.

James Castracane, professor and head of the Nanobioscience Constellation, and Michael Fancher, vice president of business development and economic outreach are the featured speakers.

Admission is free for BIC members and associate members, and $35 for non-members.
