Women's business roundtable will begin meeting in January

WomenUpFront is offering a new roundtable for solo entrepreneurs and businesses with just a few employees.

The curriculum is focused on helping participants prosper as businesswomen with a strong focus on peer learning.

Individual business coaching sessions will be offered by Franklin County CDC Business Development Director Amy Shapiro.

It will be professionally facilitated by Cathy Crosky, a consultant with Charter Oak Consulting Group and WomenUpFront.

The roundtable begins on Thursday, Jan. 28 and will be held at Lever in North Adams.

Salisbury Bank begins "We Believe" holiday program

Salisbury Bank is collecting and distributing toys for underprivileged children who live in the communities that the bank serves through its 30th annual "We Believe" program.

Participants can place unwrapped toys, books or games for boys and girls up through the mid-teens underneath the tree at any Salisbury Bank branch by Dec. 15. The gifts will be delivered by Dec. 25.

Salisbury Bank's Berkshire offices are located in Egremont, Great Barrington and Sheffield.

Citizens Bank hires a new sports finance director

Citizens Bank, which has branches in Pittsfield and North Adams, has hired industry veteran Gordon Saint-Denis as managing director of the bank's sports finance team.

A former Lehman Brothers banker, Saint-Denis has more than two decades of sports finance experience with teams and owners.
