Zonta Club to install new officers at Monday meeting

The Zonta Club of Berkshire County will install new officers when it meets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at Mazzeo's Ristorante, 1015 South St.

The meeting will include a brief networking time, a business meeting, and the installation procedure followed by dinner.

Zonta International is a worldwide service organization working to advance the status of women. Guests are welcome at all meetings, but reservations are required for dinner.

Tripp-Cleveland promoted to general manager at WBRK

Cheryl Tripp-Cleveland has been promoted to general manager and sales manager at WBRK-AM (1340), and Star 101.7 FM, according to station president Willard "Chip" Hodgkins III.

"We are so happy to have Cheryl in the position to continue our unwavering commitment to the local community and businesses," Hodgkins said in a statement.

Tripp-Cleveland has been with WBRK for over 11 years and has worked in the radio business for over 20 years.

A long-time resident of Pittsfield, Tripp-Cleveland has three daughters and seven grandchildren.


WoodmenLife donates to the Berkshire Food Project

Several WoodmenLife Northeast Chapters from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Vermont donated $400 and 200 pounds of food to the Berkshire Food Project following the organization's Fraternal Summit at the Orchards Hotel.

Founded in 1890, WoodmenLife is a not for profit organization with over 700,000 member customers, and offers 529 college plans.
