Sheffield: May 1 deadline for scholarship funds 

The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has set Wednesday, May 1 as the deadline to submit applications for 21 Berkshire County student scholarship funds that it manages.

Those funds include: the Charles and Elinore Agar Scholarship; the William and Margery Barrett Scholarship Fund; the Ferris Burtis Scholarship Fund; the Caligari Family Scholarship; the Honorable James P. Dohoney Scholarship Fund; the Fairbank Family Scholarship Fund; and the Housatonic School Scholarship Fund.

Other funds include: The Jamie Fund; Dana Larabee Scholarship Fund; Guido Masiero Scholarship Fund; McLaughlin-Wilson Scholarship Fund; Myrtle and Raymond Mercier Scholarship Award; Emma Miller Scholarship Fund; and the William J. Newton Scholarship Fund.

Also, the Antonio and Antoinette Pieropan Scholarship Fund; the Quality Printing Scholarship; the Esther Samuels and Mabel Cornman Educational Scholarship Fund; the William Stanley Scholarship Fund; and the West Stockbridge Grange Scholarship.

The deadline to file applications for the Winthrop Crane Fund for Graduate Student Aid, and the Zenas Crane Fund for Student Aid is Wednesday, May 15.

Pittsfield: Monopoly tournament to benefit Y

The Pittsfield office of Raymond James & Associates will host the second annual Monopoly Game Tournament to benefit the Pittsfield Family YMCA on Thursday, May 2.

The tournament takes place at 5:30 p.m. at Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road. All proceeds will benefit the Y's General Support Campaign, which provides financial scholarships for memberships, child care, summer camps, programs and more.

The tournament will include one 90-minute preliminary round of the Monopoly game that each participant is required to play. After calculating results, the top six competitors will play for the title of Monopoly champion.

The champion wins the grand prize of a Cranwell Resort & Spa Champagne Getaway Weekend The cost for individuals is $30. Individuals can register at the YMCA, at 292 North St.

Raymond James is also interested in identifying sponsorship teams that serve as Mogul Teams. Three different levels of sponsorship teams are available.
