Pittsfield: ‘Eye on Travel' conference is set
The Berkshire Visitors Bureau will present its 2013 "Eye on Travel" marketing conference from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
This year's conference will focus on collaborative marketing strategies to help businesses expand their customer base. Sessions will explore the strategies behind various collaborative marketing models, small business partnerships, market research collaborations, creative packaging, and partnering through unique events. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend a facilitated speed networking session to explore creative opportunities with other participants. Kim Noltemy, the chief marketing and communications officer for both Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is the keynote speaker.
Registration is open to the public. Visitors Bureau and chamber members receive a special discounted fee of $69. The full rate is $99. Early registration is strongly encouraged. Seating is limited.

Adams: Job fair Tuesday at Council on Aging
The BerkshireWorks Career Center and the Adams Council on Aging will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Council on Aging's visitors center at 3 Hoosac St.
Employers who are interested in participating should contact Barbara Emanuel of BerkshireWorks at (413) 499-2220, ext. 111. Both full and part-time opportunities will be featured at the event. A list of participating organizations is available at www.berkshireworks.org. All ages are welcome.
Pittsfield: Greylock nets $126K for United Way
The Greylock Federal Credit Union has raised more than $126,000 for the Berkshire United Way, a sum that surpassed the financial institution's previous high total.
Greylock employees raised $91,440 through employee pledges, raffles, a flower day, shred day, Facebook campaign and other functions. Corporate support totaled $34,595, a sum that include a car donated for the 13th annual raffle through Greylock's partnership with Johnson Ford Lincoln Mercury Nissan. The event will continue in 2014.
Campaign chairs were Terry Gardner, assistant vice president/Kellogg Street branch manager; and Elm Street branch manager Tony Hyte. Greylock also donated the services of investment officer Tim Scott through the Workplace Campaign Executives Program at the United Way during the campaign fund drive last fall.
