Lenox: Gen. Dynamics exec to address Zonta
Beth Mitchell, director of engineering at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, will be the guest speaker when the Zonta Club of Berkshire County meets on Monday at Jae's Asian Bistro at 55 Pittsfield Lenox Road.
The event begins at 5 p.m. The meeting is being held at Jae's because Mazzeo's Ristorante, the Zonta Club's regular meeting place, is closed for vacation.
Networking, a business meeting, remarks from the guest speaker then dinner are scheduled.
Zonta International is a worldwide service organization working to advance the status of women. Guests are welcome at all meetings, but reservations are required for dinner.

Pittsfield: Greylock to host First Chamber Nite
The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will hold its first Chamber Nite event of 2013 on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Greylock Federal Credit Union at 150 West St.
Networking will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Registration is encouraged by Friday.
The Berkshire United Way will draw a name from those who donated to the organization in 2012 to receive a brand new 2013 Ford Focus, donated by Johnson Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Nissan and the credit union.

Pittsfield: Berkshire Bank opening North St. site
Berkshire Bank will hold the grand opening of its newest branch on 99 North Street at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place.
The downtown Pittsfield branch is the third in Berkshire County to feature Berkshire Bank's new customer-centric design and enhanced teller technology. Rather than traditional teller lines, the new design allows for more personalized service, faster transactions and improved accuracy.
During Wednesday's event, the Berkshire Bank Foundation will present two $1,500 grants: one to Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires to support the organization's Suit YourSelf program and the other to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter. Contests, giveaways and refreshments will also take place.
