Jacob Matthews of Pittsfield, a senior majoring in management at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., has been named to the president's list for the spring 2016 semester.
To qualify for the president's list for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average.
James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., has named the following students to the president's list for the spring 2016 semester:
Megan Pedersen of Pittsfield is majoring in kinesiology.
Angela Petretta of Pittsfield is majoring in kinesiology.
Students who earn president's list honors must earn a grade point average of 3.900 or above.
The following students have been named to the spring 2016 semester dean's list at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt., for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher:
Jennifer Pacheco of Pittsfield is majoring in early childhood/elementary education.
Lucas Charland of Lenox is majoring in game exploration: game design.
Daniel Konopka of Lee was one of 60 students recently inducted into the Champlain College chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Also known as Sigma Alpha Pi, the honor society for student leaders operates chapters at different universities around the country.
Invitation to the Society is exclusive, based on nomination from campus faculty, academic achievement, and/or leadership potential. Students are also given access to leadership certification and scholarship opportunities through the organization.
