Carusotto leads Taconic baseball to win over Greylock
Alex Carusotto drove in four runs, leading the Taconic baseball team past Mount Greylock 8-5 on Saturday in Williamstown.
The Braves scored six of their runs in the top of the fourth inning, allowing them some breathing room. Greylock put up two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but got no closer.
Carusotto -- who doubled in three runs in the six-run fourth -- and Mitch Clary each doubled for Taconic. Clary, Joey Dewey, Jordan Barbarotta and Kevin Squires all drove in a run each.
That made a winner of Barbarotta on the mound, who allowed five runs on nine hits in a 107-pitch performance. He struck out six Mounties.
Andrew Leitch, who took the loss for Greylock, drove in two runs. Ian Brink and Eddie Dufur added an RBI each.
