Cases heard in Southern Berkshire District Court on March 28

In Southern Berkshire District Court on Monday:

Cristina Gai Cela, 45, of Orchard Street, Pittsfield, submitted to sufficient facts for a plea of guilty to two counts of shoplifting. She was fined $100, ordered to pay $37 in restitution and her case was continued without finding until April 26.

Alicia M. Ellerbee-Spears, 50, of West Street, Pittsfield, was found guilty to one count of larceny over $250. She was sentenced to 30 days in the Berkshire County Jail & House of Correction, with credit for 25 days served.

Joseph C. Deraffaele, 35, of West Main Street, Canaan, Conn., was found guilty of one count each of possession of a class C substance and receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to five days in the Berkshire County Jail & House of Correction. He also submitted to sufficient facts for a plea of guilty to one count each of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and attempting to conceal his license plate. That part of the case was continued without a finding. Charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and attaching false license plates were filed. A charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle was dismissed by the Commonwealth.

Jorge S. Tintin, 32, of Orchard Street, Pittsfield, submitted to sufficient facts for a plea of guilty to two counts of shoplifting. He was fined $100 and his case was continued without a finding.
