Chatham, N.Y.: Event to benefit Columbia-Greene Humane Society

The staff of the Blue Plate Restaurant, located at 1 Kinderhook St., will host its 11th annual post-holiday party to benefit the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA on Saturday, Jan. 11, beginning at 5 p.m.

In the last eight years, this event has raised more than $75,000 for CGHS/SPCA, which serves nearly 1,000 unwanted, abandoned, lost and/or abused animals every year.

All the food is donated by the staff and friends of the Blue Plate.

The cost is $25 per person; more if you can afford it or less if you can’t.

The food is buffet style, and will be accompanied by music from local bands, belly dancers, and a cash bar. In addition, there will be a silent auction and raffles.

For more information or to donate silent auction items, contact Marcia at, Colleen at or the CGHS/SPCA at (518) 828-6044, or by email at
