Cheshire: H.D. Reynolds to host DOT regulation forum for landscapers, lawn caretakers

Monday January 21, 2013

H.D. Reynolds Gen. Mdse. Inc. in Cheshire will be sponsoring a Massachusetts Department of Transportation Compliance Seminar for Landscapers and Lawn Services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the business, 52 Church St., Cheshire.

John Bates, a trooper with the Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, will present information on how to keep commercial vehicles and trailers compliant with DOT regulations in order to avoid fines and penalties. Bates will also be available to answer specific questions and those present will receive a package with the materials and forms necessary to manage this aspect of their business.

"In planning our open house event this year, we wanted to provide these companies, many of whom are our customers, information that would be helpful to them in their business," said Jim Reynolds from H.D. Reynolds.

Reynolds said this information would take hours to find and organize on one’s own.

Bates’ presentation is designed to give people the information they need to keep their vehicles legal and compliant to avoid fines and penalties, Reynolds said. Attendees will also get to take home the reference materials and forms they need for this.
