PITTSFIELD >> Berkshire Theatre Group has added an afternoon of chocolates and chamber music to its On the Stage Series — which puts audience and performers on stage — at The Colonial Theatre.

The South Shore Trio — pianist Jennifer Muñiz, a Berkshires native; clarinetist Trevor O'Riordan, and violist Rudolf Haken — will perform music by Mozart, contemporary American composer Libby Larsen and concert pianist John Novacek at 3 p.m. on June 5.

Chocolates from Chocolate Springs in Lenox will be served.

The ensemble will perform Mozart's "Kegelstatt" Trio, K.498. for clarinet, viola and piano; two works by Larsen — "Ferlinghetti," for viola, clarinet and piano, inspired by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti's "A Coney Island of the Mind", and " ... fifty-one clowns in the back all wearing nothing but Stars and Stripes," comprising 23 American songs arranged in a humorous medley; and Novacek's "Four Rags for Two Jons," for clarinet and piano.

Ticket information is available in person at The Colonial Theatre box office, 111 South St.; by phone at (413) 997-4444; or online at
