Choice affects object of choice

Having read Donna Weber’s Feb. 2 letter "Choice belongs to individual," I would like to refer to a sentence in her last paragraph which states: "Mr. [Rick] Santorum’s decision to have his child or not have his child affects no one but himself."

There is a second person who would be very much affected by Mr. Santorum’s decision either way, and that person’s opinion we’re not getting.
