Clarksburg: Town clerk announces census, dog licenses

The annual town census will be mailed to residents by Friday, Jan. 17. Review the information on the census for accuracy as of Jan. 1 and make any changes as needed, sign, date and return in 10 days in the enclosed envelope.

In accordance with state law, failure to return the census in a timely manner may result in voter being placed in inactive status. Voter registration status cannot be changed on the census form.

Residents who do not receive the census should notify the town clerk's office.

State law requires all dogs over six months of age to be licensed annually. The 2014 licensing deadline is April 1. Fees are $5 for neutered or spayed dogs and $12 for intact dogs. A $10 late fee will be charged after June 1.

Dogs can be licensed by mail with a Dog License Request Form; dropped off at Town Hall Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or in person during town clerk licensing hours, Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
