Clinic set to introduce girls to golf on May 19
Kay McMahon's EduKay tiongolf is joining with the LPGA in an attempt to introduce more young girls to golf.
McMahon, a member of the LPGA Teaching Hall of Fame member, and co-sponsors Gui do's Fresh Marketplace and Toole Insurance, will host LPGA Girls Golf Day on Sunday, May 19 at Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox.
The event is part of the LPGA's Grow the Game national initiative, which is sanctioned by the U.S. Golf Association. The cost is only $10 per girl and is open to all girls -- golfers and non-golfers -- between the ages of 7 and 17.
All attendees will receive complimentary gifts and lunch boxes. Juniors are encouraged to bring their clubs, but clubs will be provided for those who don't have their own.
Everyone will be introduced to golf fundamentals in a safe, educational and exciting way. The eduKaytiongolf staff will also focus on health, fitness and sportsmanship.
"We are excited about this day and we hope to elevate girls' enthusiasm towards the game of golf," McMahon said.
