College Graduates

Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, awarded bachelor's degrees to the following students on May 23:

• Callen Brooks of Williamstown graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a major in physics and a minor in philosophy.

• Sara Plager of Lenox graduated with a major in Spanish and a minor in chemistry.

Lasell College in Newton graduated the following students in May:

• William Hunt of Lee received a master of science degree in sport management.

• Molly Masiero of Richmond received a bachelor's degree in exercise science.

The following residents graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the weekend of May 22:

• Shane O'Brien of Pittsfield received a bachelor of arts degree in communication.

• Mckensie Saldo of Pittsfield received a bachelor of arts degree in communication.

Providence (R.I.) College awarded degrees to the following students during commencement exercises on May 17:

• Taylor Jacoby, a resident of Pittsfield, received a bachelor's degree summa cum laude.

• Mary Romeu, a resident of Lenox, received a bachelor's degree cum laude.

The following area students were awarded bachelor's degrees from Assumption College in Worcester on May 16:

• Cecilia Bersaw of Great Barrington graduated with a major in management and a minor in psychology.

• Cassie Lincoln of North Adams graduated with a major in psychology with a concentration in brain, behavior and cognition, and a minor in biology.

Emmanuel College in Boston conferred degrees on the following local students:

• Darcey Sullivan of Hinsdale received a bachelor of arts degree in a double major of liberal studies and elementary education. Sullivan graduated cum laude in December 2014.

• Elizabeth Buckley of Pittsfield received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting. Buckley graduated cum laude in May.

• Elizabeth Wagner of Cummington received a bachelor of arts degree in management. Wagner graduated summa cum laude in May.

• Samantha Bissell of Pittsfield received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology with a concentration in social inequality and social justice. Bissell graduated summa cum laude in May.

• Kelsie Dumas of Dalton received a bachelor of arts degree in management in May.

The following local residents recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

• Mitchell Hunt of Pittsfield was awarded a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering with distinction.

• Austin Alibozek of Adams was awarded a bachelor of science degree in electrical and computer engineering.

• Elizaveta Murray of Pittsfield was awarded a master of business administration degree.

• Ethan Patrick of Canaan, Conn., was awarded a bachelor of science degree in mathematical sciences.

• Matthew Tassinari of Pittsfield was awarded a master of science degree in operations design and leadership.
